Currently, many experts and companies in China have conducted in-depth research on vacuum adsorption rollers and proposed many effective solutions. For example, comparing the material properties of vacuum roller bodies, they have found that using stainless steel is significantly superior to using tin bronze roller bodies. Furthermore, after extensive experimental research, a reasonable wall thickness range for paper machine vacuum rollers has been determined. Detailed analysis has been conducted on cylindricity and coaxiality of the inner and outer surfaces, roller shell processing and drilling methods, and suitable longitudinal sealing and end-face sealing materials have been proposed.
However, research by relevant institutions and universities abroad is basically at the same stage as that in China. However, a comprehensive review of a large amount of research data and actual production data reveals that, both domestically and internationally, there are still certain difficulties in the initial technical solutions. Especially after adopting European and American technologies, it has become apparent that the purchased vacuum rollers, besides having long production cycles and high costs, still present numerous problems in after-sales service, a major concern for many.
Therefore, to promote the rapid development of related domestic industries, it is necessary to concentrate significant human and material resources. Government departments also need to provide policy and financial support to increase ongoing research into the sealing performance of vacuum adsorption rollers.
