Sensor Installation Precautions
When designing and installing the sensor's loading device, ensure that the line of action is aligned with the sensor's force axis and minimize the impact of the load. Select the appropriate sensor according to the sensor range in this manual and determine the rated load of the sensor to be used. The sensor housing, protective cover, and wire connectors are sealed and should not be opened by the user.
To prevent corrosion, apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the surface of the tension sensor during installation, and then avoid direct sunlight. If this cannot be avoided, a protective device must be installed.
To prevent damage to the sensor from direct current flowing through the sensor body, soldering is prohibited after the sensor is installed. If necessary, a copper braided wire bypass device should be connected to both ends of the sensor loading device.
The sensor cable should not be connected to other power lines or to locations with pulses. If this cannot be avoided, the sensor cable should be run through an iron pipe to avoid magnetic field effects.
The cable should not be extended. If extension is absolutely necessary, solder should be applied to the joint, and moisture-proof sealant should be added.
If the application requires high accuracy, preheating for approximately 30 minutes is necessary before starting operation.
Sensor leads typically use four-core shielded cables (six-core shielded cables are recommended for special needs). Red indicates the positive excitation terminal, and yellow indicates the negative excitation terminal. Blue indicates the positive output terminal, and white indicates the negative output terminal. The shielding layer can be connected to the instrument's grounding terminal.
